Gratitude is even more powerful and meaningful when directed toward others. When we tell those in our lives how thankful we are for them, especially unprovoked, it has the ability to make a profound impact on their confidence.
Write a letter to someone who has positively impacted you. Perhaps they have supported you throughout your caregiving journey or maybe someone who showed you love when you couldn’t love yourself.
Your letter should be detailed as to why you are grateful for them and how they have positively affected you. Notice how it feels to write the letter. How long afterward do you still feel gratitude?
If compelled, give them the letter, however know that you can still feel the impact of gratitude whether you choose to share this with them or not.
Think about making this practice a monthly ritual.
