FREE FAMILY MENTAL HEALTH QUIZ
If you’ve answered YES to any of these questions, you are in good company. Your awareness of yourself and those around you is an important step in evaluating your brain and mental health status and the status of those around you.
With the Billions of neurons and trillions of signals traveling along inside our heads, it’s no surprise that sometimes, something goes wrong. Unfortunately, it happens all of the time, and with your awareness and support, many of these issues can be diagnosed and treated.
Having a brain or mental health-related issue or condition is not a reflection on you, your family, or those around you.
These issues affect everyone, either directly at the family and caregiver levels, or indirectly through public programs and assistance. Through education and research, The United Brain Association strives to give those affected the knowledge to empower themselves and to overcome their afflictions.
START BY LOOKING AT YOUR FAMILY
Families often remain silent about mental health-related issues, often trying to avoid the social stigma and unfair judgments associated with these conditions. Many of these issues are hereditary and cannot be blamed on those afflicted. Concealment often leads to loneliness and isolation, making a treatable condition more difficult to resolve. With the improvement of diagnostic tools, treatments, and outcomes, there is increased optimism among researchers and practitioners that today’s mental health issues can become a thing of the past.
