In Memory of William S. Baker

William S. Baker was a WWII Navy veteran. He served the citizens of New York City as a NYPD Police officer for 25 years. He rose to the rank of first grade Detective and led the airport squad at JFK. His final years with NYPD was spent in the homocide squad. Bill was diagnosed with dementia late in life and was cared for at home by his loving wife Marian and son Bill. We are raising funds in memory of Bill to support research into the five types of Dementia commonly associated with adult aging: Alzheimer’s Disease, Vascular dementia, Dementia with Lewy Body, Frontotemporal Dementia and Corticobasal degeneration (CBD). Per Bill’s son, “Dad would be proud to have his name used to help raise funds to help others with dementia.”
